Time limits for your child's Yoto player
Yoto Limiter sets a daily listening limit and allowed hours. When the time is up, or it is past bedtime, it pauses the player for you, so there is no daily argument. If you decide they can have ten more minutes, add them from your phone.
How it works
- Connect your Yoto accountYou sign in on Yoto's own page, so your Yoto password never reaches this site. Then choose the players to limit.
- Choose a limit and hoursPick minutes per day, and if you like the hours it may be used, for example nothing after 19:30.
- It looks after the restThe server watches the player and pauses it when time is used up. Add or take away time from any phone.
See what you get
A live countdown, and a pause button
Open it and see how much time is left today, what is playing, and whether the player is connected. Give ten minutes, take fifteen away, or pause straight away.
When the limit is reached the player is paused, and it stays paused until you add time.

A limit for each day, and allowed hours
School nights can be shorter than weekends. Set the hours the player may be used, and it is paused outside them, so it stays quiet overnight.

Bedtime stories that never count
Choose how each card counts. Let a bedtime story play without using up the day, or give a favourite series a budget of its own.

See how it really goes
A chart of the last two weeks shows how much they listened each day. It is often a surprise, in both directions.

Made for real households
Several players
Look after more than one Yoto player, each with its own limit.
Share with another parent
Send a one-time invite link so a partner or grandparent can add time too, without sharing your Yoto account password.
Nothing to install
It runs in the browser on your phone, and nothing goes on the player.
Private by design
No adverts, no tracking cookies, and you can delete your account and data at any time.
There is a free plan with one player and a daily limit. Plus adds allowed hours, limits for each weekday, card rules, several players and sharing. See the pricing page.
Questions parents ask
Does it work with my Yoto player?
It works with players that are on your Yoto account and online. It talks to Yoto's cloud, the same way the Yoto app does, so it needs the player to be connected to Wi-Fi.
What happens if the player is offline?
Then it cannot be paused, because the server cannot reach it. The site warns you when a player has been unreachable for a while. Limits are enforced only while the server, Yoto's cloud and the player's connection are all working.
Is this an official Yoto product?
No. Yoto Limiter is an independent project made by a parent. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Yoto.
Does it see my Yoto password?
No. You sign in on Yoto's own page and the server keeps an encrypted token that lets it read and pause your players, and nothing else.
Can my child get round it?
The limit is applied by the server, not on the player, so pressing buttons on the player does not lift it. The player is paused again if it keeps playing. Only someone signed in to your account, or an account you have shared it with, can add time.
How much does it cost?
The free plan costs nothing and covers one player with a daily limit. Plus is paid monthly or yearly, and you can cancel at any time. The current prices are on the pricing page.
What data do you keep?
Your email address, your limits and how long each card was played. It is explained in the privacy policy, and you can delete everything from Settings.
Give the day a sensible end
Set it up in a few minutes and let it do the asking.
